Laborant And Veterinary Science Programme

Mission: Our mission is to provide our students the necessary knowledge and skill to provide services on laboratory and veterinary health issues, to do feed analysis, to carry out health cantrol, care and nutrition and breeding of livestock and pet animals with scientific methods.

Vision: Our vision is to train technical personel who is qualified, has work experience and discipline, can follow the technological developments and can transform their theoretical knowledge into practice.

General Information: Study period of the program is 4 semesters. The Laborant and Veterinary Health Program was opened in the academic year 2011-2012. The program has started to implement 3 + 1 Education Model in the academic year 2017-2018. According to this Education Model, students will complete their education by having 3 semesters of theoretical and practical courses and 1 semester of workplace application.

Feed analysis laboratories belonging to the Laborant and Veterinary Health Programme have the necessary infrastructure to train the students who can make feed analysis of feed mills and private enterprises. In addition, within the scope of workplace practice training, our students graduate with 4 months of work experience by practicing in private veterinary clinics and livestock enterprises. Students can continue to work in the workplace if they wish.

Students who have graduated from the Laboratory and Veterinary Health Program are entitled to take the ‘Associate Degree Diploma’. In addition, if they get enough points in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) conducted by ÖSYM, they can continue their education in the following undergraduate programs.
